Why do you choose to display your art on the street?
I love to evade from everyday life, make people find again for a few seconds the capacity of wonder of a child, whether they look quickly or not at the work of art. A pleasure which has nothing to do with what you can buy or possess something which speaks to the imagination or onirism. I love to paint on streets with plenty of current shops for those reasons.

Do you prefer to do graffiti legally? Or is there something about the thrill of illegal behavior that is integral to your artwork?
I think I don t have that idea in mind when I paint. I paint just because I love painting, because it is a way of expressing myself which makes me share with others something which I can´t do with words. What is important to me is the act of painting and of making real what I feel and what I wish to share. Being illegal or not doesn’t matter to me.

I notice that you paint distinctive female characters. Who are they?
There are allegories which represent what I feel, something very deep and archaic that I feel and can’t be expressed with words.

You often paint with blue and red, what is it about these colours that draw you?
It is a very simple system of symbols, a kind of “synesthesia”. I insist on those feelings beyond words.

How has your education and experiences modified your artwork?
I have lived with an autistic child for years and I think it has made me touch what is really important for me, and what i want to reach, sharing beyond words, an exchange which has to do with the senses and which is more intense. That exchange can be reached by touching, looking and feeling.

How does your audience influence your artwork?
    I don’t think I can be influenced.
How do the public in Brest react to graffiti?
I believe that the public in Brest is very open to art and discovery in general and is very enthusiastic.

Is it easy to gain access to walls to spray on in Brest?
Brest is developing greatly nowadays, many places are bulled down, the town is changing quickly. Concerning legal walls, the town and the inhabitants are open-minded.

In what ways is the Crimes of Minds project having an impact on the community?
Crimes of Minds is a very beautiful project. Through it people have discovered that art and talented artists have been welcome in our town….Brest is a real open air Museum.

If you could have a drink with one artist (living or dead) who would it be?
    Just one? It’s a difficult question :)
I think, no, I m sure that I would like to meet Björk, whom I admire for her great talent and creativity. I Love people who share with others their universes.

Who is your favourite urban artist (give reasons if you wish)?
I am quite incapable to give you one name. Every week I discover works of art I like very much.

    Who are your influences?
I can’t speak of influences, maybe of people whose universe have touched me, like Ray Bradbury, Giger, Tim Burton, Björk, Jimmy Page, and completely unknown people whose names would mean nothing to you but who are as important to me.

What is your attitude towards the commercialization of graffiti works?
People are free to do what they like with their own works…When all the actors agree. I don’t like stealing, money, fashion. All that is far from my universe.
